主要从事金属催化与能源材料研究。至今共发表SCI论文100余篇,包括Nat. Chem. 、Adv. Mater. 、Energy Environ. Sci.等,总他引8,000余次,H因子51。担任国际著名期刊Chem的顾问编委,连续六年入选Elsevier“中国高被引学者”(2014-2019),2019年入选科睿唯安“全球高被引科学家”。受邀担任科技部十四五科技专项项目指南规划专家。2015年获国家自然科学基金委“优秀青年基金”,2016年入选吉林省“第十四批有突出贡献的中青年专业技术人才”,2019年获国家自然科学基金委“杰出青年基金”。
